Reece Cole

Celtic 5-0 Partick Thistle

It’s been a tumultuous start up in Scotland for Reece Cole, not least with Partick Thistle sitting bottom of the Scottish Championship. This week, ex-manager Ian McCall took the reins after Gary Caldwell’s sacking, while Wednesday night saw the Jags travel to Parkhead to take on Celtic in the Scottish League Cup quarter-final. Reece was named on the bench for the fixture, but though he replaced Shea Gordon after 74 minutes, the damage had already been done. Goals from Vakoun Issouf Bayo, Tomas Rogic and an Olivier Ntcham double put Neil Lennon’s side 4-0 up with little more than an hour gone, before Scott Sinclair’s tap-in rounded off the thumping 5-0 victory.
