Lasse Vibe came closest to scoring for Denmark as they drew 0-0 with Iraq in their opening match at the 2016 Rio Olympic games earlier this afternoon. The 29-year-old was named captain of the Danish squad on Wednesday and he struck the outside of the post in the first five minutes as both sides had chances early on.  As the afternoon heat in Brasilia took its toll, however, neither side could find a breakthrough as they had to settle for a point a piece.

Lasse, who scored 14 goals in his debut season for The Bees, will be back in action in Brasilia on Sunday when The Danes take on South Africa before their final group game against the hosts Brazil in Salvador next Wednesday.
