"It was okay," said Kevin. "The conditions didn't help. I thought we played okay at times, especially in the first half. That was more of what we were looking for. In the second half we certainly ground it out a little bit and looked dangerous on the counter. I'm pleased with the win but I still think we could have done more."

Wolves had a penalty saved in the second half by goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe, who returned to the starting lineup after missing two previous matches. Reece Cole and Herson Rodrigues Alves also got back to action in what was a strong test for Brentford B.

"It was a tough game," said Kevin. "They sat off us a little bit so it was slightly different than usual. We had a lot of the ball at the back and so we tried to find the spaces and the gaps to then create chances at the other end.

"I'm pleased for Ellery, he deserved that today because he played well. I'm also pleased to see the two boys come back and come on at half time to make an impact. We need to get them fitter and get them back into the team."

Kevin also looked ahead to the Manchester City fixture on 19 December, his squad's last one of 2017. Last time out, The Bees won 5-2 at the Etihad Campus, something that Kevin thinks will add another dimension to the game.

"They are going to be desperate to beat us after we went up there and managed to beat them. They will come down with a strong team, it will be a very tough game. We have to prepare right and give it our best shot."
