All of The Bees out on loan in England were rested this week as the final round of Checkatrade Trophy group stage games were completed up and down the country. Meanwhile, the Danish Superliga was halted for the upcoming international break.
Konstantin Kerschbaumer was brought on as a 59th minute substitute in Arminia Bielefeld's 4-1 defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach. A friendly organised between the two clubs, the German top flight team proved too much to handle for Bielefeld, only Keanu Staude getting on the scoresheet after 75 minutes.
Jack Bonham was a substitute as Carlisle United were eliminated from Group A of the Northern Section. United lost 2-1 to Fleetwood Town after goals from Jack Sowerby and Wes Burns in the first half proved too much to battle back from.
Despite losing 3-0 to a Rotherham United side that included former Bee Manny Onariase, Bradford City qualified for the next round of the Checkatrade Trophy. This was all without fullback Tom Field, rested from the squad entirely with League One football continuing at the weekend.
National League Leyton Orient and loanee Zain Westbrooke didn't have a midweek game this week, instead they continued preparations for a trip to Ebbsfleet United in two days' time.
