Josh Bohui earned his third England Under-17s cap as the Young Lions' run in the Under-17 European Championships came to an end at the Quarter-Final stage on Sunday after a 1-0 defeat to Spain in Baku. Thursday's 3-1 win over Denmark meant that Steve Cooper's side finished second in Group C, behind Sweden, and qualified for the knockout stages in the Azerbaijani capital where they would face the Iberian nation.
Francisco Garcia scored the only goal of the game after 11 minutes, leaving England defenders in his wake on a mazy run before poking past Jared Thompson from close range. England were the better side for much of the match but couldn't find a way past Peria in the Spanish goal. Josh was introduced with a quarter of an hour to go and almost conjured up the equaliser that England needed but Ben Morris's shot was deflected wide after good work from Josh and Chelsea's Dujon Sterling. As it was Spain held on for the win and set up a semi-final clash with Germany this Wednesday.
