Jake Reeves has left Brentford Football Club after a mutual agreement was reached for the termination of his contract.

Jake is a product of Brentford’s youth system, having completed his two-year scholarship in the summer of 2011 and turned professional.

The 21-year-old was on the books of Tottenham Hotspur until the age of 16 and was spotted by former Youth Team Manager Darren Sarll and given a scholarship at Brentford.

The central midfield player captained the Youth Team in 2010/11 and made his First Team debut on the final day of that season.

He was given a two-year professional contract as part of the Club’s Development Squad but was promoted to the First Team group and signed a new two-year deal in 2013.

Jake played 47 games for Brentford in all competitions, scoring one goal – in an FA Cup win over Staines Town.

Mark Warburton, Brentford FC Manager, said: “Jake has done a fantastic job for us.

“He has come through the Academy system here; he is well-liked, well respected and very talented.

“But he needs to play week-in, week-out.

“With the level of player we have here now, that opportunity is not available at Brentford now.

“His contribution should be recognised and I wish him well for the future.”
