He is now under contract at Griffin Park until the summer of 2019. Jack is heading north to link up with Sky Bet League Two Carlisle for pre-season and will join later this week, subject to EFL approval. He will remain with the Cumbria side, who reached the Play-Offs in 2016/17, until 1 January 2018.

Jack has had limited playing time at Brentford since he arrived four years ago. He joined The Bees in the summer of 2013 after being released by Watford and extended his contract in early 2015. That deal was set to expire in 2018 but has now been extended. Jack made three appearances for The Bees in his first year at the Club and has appeared in the majority of matchday squads since his arrival. He has played four more games, seven in total, and made his first Sky Bet Championship appearance for The Bees in the Easter Monday draw with Barnsley.

Dean Smith, Brentford FC Head Coach, said: “We all believe that Jack has great potential. But to fulfil this potential he needs to play matches. Carlisle will give him a wonderful chance to do this.”

Jack made his professional debut on the last day of the 2012/13 Championship season for Watford as a substitute. He had started the day as third in line but injuries to the two main goalkeepers thrust him in to the role. Jack left Watford a few days later and joined The Bees having been on trial earlier that year. The goalkeeper has also represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-17 level.
