Ivan Toney will be assessed after being stretchered off during Brentford’s 2-0 win over West Ham United.
Toney, who scored his 12th Premier League goal of the season at London Stadium, was withdrawn in second-half stoppage-time after landing awkwardly on his left leg.
“Of course, it didn’t look great, but I’ve also been in this game long enough to know that you never know exactly what it is until it’s been assessed over the following days,” said Frank.
“Hopefully it’s a minor injury, a minor thing, there’s a good chance for that, but of course it could be worse. We don’t know yet.”
Toney’s withdrawal was a low point on an otherwise superb night for the Bees.
West Ham had more possession and territory but were kept at bay by a well-disciplined and resolute Brentford side who struck twice in the first half - Josh Dasilva bagging the second goal of the evening.
“It was so nice to get a win, of course,” Frank continued.
“It’s a fantastic way to finish 2022 for everyone involved. The fans were amazing – we could hear them throughout the whole game.
“What a year to look back on. It started with a win against Villa and now we’ve won the last game against West Ham – two massive clubs, bigger than us, and at the end of this year we are above them in the table.
“I know there are many, many more games left to play, but we need to enjoy the moment, enjoy the snapshot, celebrate for 24 hours and then go again against Liverpool.
“West Ham were better than us in the first half. We started badly, but it’s about taking your moments and we did that. In general, I think we defended very well; we gave very, very little away throughout the game.
“The second half was a much better, a top away performance. We were closer to 3-0 than they were to 2-1.”
