Team Melli are currently top of Group A of AFC Qualifying with ten points from their opening four games. They sit two points clear of South Korea and five ahead of Lebanon in third. And it is to Lebanon that IR Iran go on Thursday, 11 November, for a game at the Saida Municipal Stadium, Sidon, kick-off 12 noon. It is then on to the King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah, to face bottom-of-the-table Syria.

Nigeria vs Cape Verde: 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Tuesday 16 November, kick-off 4pm

Nigeria's 2022 FIFA World Cup hopes rest on the next fortnight with their final two Group C matches coming up. The Super Eagles currently lead Group C by two points with two to play. First up, they face Liberia on Saturday 13 November and then comes the potentially winner-takes-all clash with second-placed Cape Verde in Lagos on Tuesday 16 November.

North Macedonia vs Iceland: 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying, Toshe Proeski Arena, Skopje, Sunday 14 November, kick-off: 5pm

Arnar Þór Viðarsson's side still retain the slimmest of hopes of snatching second place and a spot in the Play-Off Round for next winter's World Cup. To grab second they need to win both their games this month, against Romania at the National Arena, Bucharest. They than face North Macedonia at the Toše Proeski Arena, Skopje, on Sunday 14 November and hope that a number of other results go their way. Patrik is yet to make his senior debut for Iceland, having been an unused substitute for his nation's last five World Cup Qualifiers. The 20-year-old does have 26 youth international caps to his name, including 12 with Iceland's Under-21s.

Finland vs France:2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifying, Helsinki Olympic Stadium, Helsinki, Tuesday 16 November, kick-off: 7.45pm

Finland go into the final pair of Group D games in third, a point behind Ukraine in second, with a game in hand, and four points behind group leaders, France. Markku Kanerva's side first travel to the Bilino Polje Stadium, Zenica, to take on Bosnia and Herzegovina, who themselves still harbour qualification hopes, sitting a point behind Finland in fourth. The Eagle Owls then return to home soil to take on Les Bleus at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium. Marcus and his teammates will also have one eye on Zenica at the same time as Bosnia and Ukraine face each other. The group winners will qualify automatically for the 2022 FIFA World Cup while the runners-up head into the Play-Off round to be held next March.

Turkey are in Group G of the European section of the World Cup qualifiers. They have taken 15 points from eight games and are third in the group. Netherlands lead the group and are four points ahead of Turkey. Norway are two clear and sit in second place. Each plays two games in the next eight days as they look to reach next year's tournament.

Denmark suffered their first defeat in Group I last time out, going down 1-0 to Group leaders Belgium. That result leaves The Danes on six points after three games, six points off top, albeit with a game in hand. Turkey go into the game a further two points behind Denmark in third.

So far the Czechs have a perfect four wins from four to lead their group by three points. Lee Carsley's Young Lions are currently in third with seven points from three games while Slovenia are fourth with four points from four outings. Jan has two caps for his nation at Under-21 level, both of those coming in Qualifying victories over Kosovo last month. Across all youth age groups, Jan has made 47 appearances for Czechia, scoring five goals.

Wales are placed fifth in their qualifying group following defeats to Moldova and The Netherlands last month but they can climb further up their group table if they can claim positive results. They will face Gibraltar away from home before their second match takes place at Rodney Parade in Newport against Switzerland.

The side will play two fixtures, the first against Norway away from home on 12 November before they welcome Estonia three days later to Kotka in Finland. The side are in Group A and currently sit fourth having claimed seven points. Ahead of them is Austria who have two more points.

Aaron's first call-up for the Under-21 side with Scotland will see him join the group who are fourth in their Qualifying group after playing two games. They have drawn one and lost one from their opening couple of games but will aiming to climb higher with their next couple of games.

Both players have recently been involved within the England youth set up and they will make up part of the Under-19 group for the Qualifying matches as they aim to reach the tournament in Slovakia next year.

Five of the 13 groups have been completed with the rest played from 10-16 November as the competition resumes, having been abandoned in 2019/20 and cancelled last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The side will head to Bulgaria to play their three qualifying fixtures as they aim to make it to the Elite Round of qualifying by progressing as one of the top two teams in the group. Val was part of the previous Ireland international camp in Marbella as they played two matches against Sweden. The youngster, who signed for Brentford B from Dundalk earlier this year, started the second match against The Swedes and played 84 minutes in the 1-1 draw.
