What’s it like to move to a new club in a higher division only to immediately face lockdown? How does a professional footballer stay match fit…when he can’t play any matches? This is the situation Brentford midfielder Shandon Baptiste has found himself in over recent weeks and he will be discussing the experience tonight on Hounslow Council’s Instragram when he does a Live Q and A takeover about life in lockdown.

Shandon joined The Bees from Oxford United at the end of January, making the step from Sky Bet League One to the second tier. He had found a place to live, playes six games and become somewhat settled before lockdown fully took hold. But how does a player prove himself in a new club, if he can’t play any football?

Shandon will discuss all this and more in his Instagram Live Q and A Takeover at 8pm tonight, Wednesday 15 April. Check it out by following the Hounslow Council Instagram here or searching hounslowcouncil. Coverage of the Q and A will follow in the coming days on our channels and the those of Hounslow Council.
