Budding young journalists will have a chance to hone their skills this summer as the Griffin Park Learning Zone hosts the Breaking News project. The project, which will be held across August, will give the young journalists a chance to produce an exciting newsletter full of local and national news, games, film/TV and book reviews, hot topics and generally articles and content that they, and others are interested in hearing about.
Participants will be able to develop their teamwork, communication, and motivation skills while also meeting new people and learning about creativity and design, at the same time as gaining an insight into becoming a young journalist. Alongside the work done in the Learning Zone there will also be a trip to the British Airways visitor centre including a tour of the Head Office and a go in a flight simulator. Other activities include Interview training, iPad based learning, a day trip to Beale Park and a day trip to the Sky TV Studios.
