Gordon lost his battle with cancer earlier this month at the age of 72. The goalkeeper spent just shy of a decade at Griffin Park, making 227 appearances and winning promotion from Division Four in 1972.
He was awarded a testimonial against an ex-Brentford XI in October 1973 and returned to the Club in 1990 to serve as goalkeeper coach under Phil Holder before departing in 1992. He was inducted into the Brentford FC Hall of Fame at our end of season awards dinner in May 2017.
He leaves a wife, Jacqui, and two sons, Kelly and Trent. The family has requested no flowers but donations in lieu to Princess Alice Hospital.
