Brentford’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Tuesday was the third time in five games that a substitute has found the back of the net, after Yoane Wissa scored an 88th-minute equaliser.
So, when looking at Bees players to include your FPL squad, it’s worth looking at the whole of Thomas Frank’s squad.
There’s a chance some managers will rotate for Gameweek 6 after a busy midweek slate, so who should you be selecting this week?
Brentford

Aaron Hickey - £5.0m
Aaron Hickey has made a promising start to his Brentford career, and his performance on Tuesday was arguably his best since arriving in West London. The right-back, who was up against the dangerous Wilfried Zaha, made numerous goal-saving blocks and interceptions at Selhurst Park and won Man of the Match.
At Bologna last season, Hickey scored an impressive five goals from full-back, which, along with his outstanding defensive contributions, led to him being nominated for the Golden Boy award.
Leeds have started the season well but have conceded five goals in five games, which includes right-back Kyle Walker-Peters’ strike against them in Gameweek 2.
Mikkel Damsgaard - £5.4m
Yet to make his first Bees start, Mikkel Damsgaard could be an interesting option to transfer into your side this week.
As we mentioned above, it’s worth looking at the whole of the Bees squad after the recent success of Thomas’ substitutions. And Damsgaard is one of those to have impressed off the bench, coming on against Crystal Palace and making a difference at Selhurst Park.
The Danish midfielder is capable of scoring and creating.
He possesses impressive set-piece ability, which England supporters know all about after his incredible strike at Euro 2020.
Best of the rest

Gabriel Martinelli - £6.4m
Gabriel Martinelli is another to have impressed in Gameweek 6, as he scored the winning goal in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Aston Villa.
That was the Brazilian’s third goal of the season and, at £6.4m, he looks a good value pick for your squad. His goals this campaign add to the six he scored last term (he registered six assists, too), and the forward just seems to be getting better.
While a game against Manchester United on Sunday isn’t easy, the Gunners and Martinelli will fancy their chances to continue their good form at Old Trafford.
Erling Haaland - £11.9m
If you don’t have Erling Haaland in your FPL team, what are you doing? The Norwegian striker has now scored back-to-back hattricks, and there’s no reason why he can’t continue his good goalscoring form when Manchester City face Aston Villa this Sunday.
Haaland has scored 17 points in each of his last two games, which takes his season tally to 58 - comfortably the highest in the division. Yes, he’s expensive, but you have to have him in.
Wildcards

Armel Bella-Kotchap - £4.5m
One of the division’s most impressive summer signings has been Southampton’s Armel Bella-Kotchap, who has been fantastic since arriving from Bundesliga side VfL Bochum.
The 20-year-old, who wasn’t involved in the 4-1 opening day defeat to Tottenham, has been a crucial part of the Saints’ subsequent up-turn in form, which has seen them lose just one of their last three.
He also looks a threat in front of goal, having six shots in four games, so there’s a chance he'll find the back of the net in the coming weeks, too.
Anthony Gordon - £5.5m
Anthony Gordon now has two goals in two games and is starting to look like Frank Lampard's go-to forward in the absence of the injured Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The Englishman has been spearheading the Toffees attack this season and certainly isn't afraid to go for goal, having taken 16 shots in five games, as well as registering five key passes in that time.
Everton face a Liverpool side that have kept just one clean sheet this season and, playing for his boyhood club in a derby game, Gordon will be keen to make an impact.
