Our last Premier League game ended in defeat at Fulham, but we bounced back with a 2-0 win over Colchester United in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

Mikkel Damsgaard - who is priced at £5.5m - made his debut in the cup victory, while Keane Lewis-Potter (£5.4m) made his first start and scored his first goal for the Bees.

Our highest-scoring players from last weekend’s loss were goalscorers Ivan Toney and Christian Norgaard, who both scored eight points in Gameweek 3.

Everton travel to the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday, so which members of Thomas Frank's squad could be worth considering for your team?

Brentford

Wissa

Yoane Wissa - £5.4m

Yoane Wissa knows what it takes to perform well against Everton, having scored and assisted in our last game against the Toffees. He also recorded his first goal contribution of the season against Fulham, assisting Ivan Toney’s equaliser.

The DR Congo international is listed by FPL as a midfielder, but regularly plays in a front three with Toney and Bryan Mbeumo and, at £5.4m, represents real value - especially if he can replicate his form from the game at Goodison Park earlier this year.

Mathias Jensen - £5.1m

Another player who recorded an assist at Craven Cottage was Mathias Jensen, after his out-swinging corner was volleyed home by fellow Dane Christian Norgaard. That was Jensen’s second assist of the season, after he got one in his impressive Gameweek 2 performance against Manchester United.

The midfielder finished on 14 points that day, after also finding the back of the net against the Red Devils and, with the 26-year-old on set-pieces, he could continue to rack up the points in the coming weeks.

Best of the rest

Odegaard

Martin Odegaard - £6.5m

The standout performer from Gameweek 3 was Martin Odegaard, who picked up 16 points after scoring twice against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Despite Fulham starting the season well, they could find it tough against an Arsenal side who have won all three games so far this campaign.

Odegaard has potential to score highly for the second week running, especially playing alongside the in-form Gabriel Jesus.

Kieran Trippier - £5.5m

Despite not scoring as highly as Odegaard in Gameweek 3, Kieran Trippier was another good performer, as Newcastle drew 3-3 with Manchester City. His stunning free-kick saw him score six points.

He also came on and changed the game against Tranmere in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, assisting the second of the Magpies’ goals.

Eddie Howe’s side face Wolves on Saturday, who have scored just once so far this season, so there’s a good opportunity for a clean sheet and a goal contribution for Trippier this weekend.

Wildcards

Gundogan

Ilkay Gundogan - £7.6m

Having someone who plays regularly for Manchester City in your squad is always a good idea, especially if they’re scoring goals. And that’s exactly what Ilkay Gundogan did in Gameweek 3 against Newcastle, as he netted the opening goal of the game and scored eight points.

A prolific FPL points scorer over the past few seasons, Gundogan is now playing just behind Erling Haaland, who seems to be creating space for the likes of the German midfielder.

A home game against Crystal Palace could be the chance for two goals in two games for the 31-year-old.

Matty Cash - £4.9m

Like Wolves, West Ham have struggled in front of goal in the Premier League this season and are yet to find the back of the net. The Hammers did score three in the Europa League on Thursday night, but may struggle with the quick turnaround ahead of Sunday’s clash.

Aston Villa could take advantage of this – particularly Matty Cash. He was rested as Steven Gerrard’s side smashed four past Bolton in the Carabao Cup and, if they continue their good goalscoring form, there’s no reason why Cash (who made two key passes against Crystal Palace last weekend) can’t lay on an assist for the likes of Danny Ings or former Brentford striker Ollie Watkins.
