Best of the Bees

Brentford’s impressive performance in their 2-2 draw with Chelsea on Saturday evening thrust many of their assets onto the target list of FPL managers.

Kevin Schade (£7.0m) and Fábio Carvalho (£4.9m) were the highest-scoring FPL assets for the the Bees with both midfielders returning seven points for their owners.

Carvalho came on in the 90th minute of the game to score the last-gasp equaliser. Meanwhile, Schade had four attempts on goal against the Blues, only three midfielders had more across the Gameweek.

Yehor Yarmoliuk (£5.0m) and Nathan Collins (£5.0m) both picked up Defensive Contribution points, whist Kristoffer Ajer (£4.4m) and Jordan Henderson (£5.0m) both registered assists.

The Spotlight

Henderson’s impact on the Brentford team has been notable.

The midfielder registered clean sheet points in both Gameweeks 2 and 3, as he was withdrawn before the clean sheet was lost in Gameweek 3. His assist in Gameweek 4 was his first attacking contribution in the Premier League for the west Londoners.

The assist also meant the midfielder returned six points in Gameweek 4.

Over the opening four Gameweeks of the season, Henderson has been instrumental to Brentford’s play. The midfielder has touched the ball every 1.8 minutes and has received a pass every 2.8 minutes. He is receiving a pass more often than any other Brentford player.

The midfielder has also registered 26 defensive contributions across the opening four fixtures and so has been unlucky not to register any defensive contribution points so far.

Best of the Rest

Arsenal’s new signing Martín Zubimendi (£5.4m) was the top-scoring player in Gameweek 4. The midfielder scored two goals, kept a clean sheet and registered all three bonus points for a total of 16 points against Nottingham Forest.

Spurs defender Micky van de Ven (£4.6m) also registered a haul for the 30.1% of FPL managers who own him. The Dutchman scored, kept a clean sheet and returned two bonus points.

For the second time this season, Antoine Semenyo (£7.5m) was in the highest-scoring players of the week. The Bournemouth midfielder converted a penalty against Brighton as well as assisting the Cherries' opening goal, culminating in a return of 13 points.

In Demand

As a result of his double-digit haul in Gameweek 4, Semenyo is currently the most transferred in player ahead of Gameweek 5. Over 506,000 managers have brought in the Ghanaian.

Much like Semenyo, van de Ven’s exploits in Gameweek 4 have contributed to him being the second-most transferred in. He already has 225,000 new owners ahead of Spurs’ Gameweek 5 trip to Brighton.

For the second week in a row, Marc Guéhi (£4.6m) is in the top three most transferred in assets, on the back of another clean sheet in Gameweek 4.

Injuries to Rayan Aït-Nouri (£6.0m) and Ola Aina (£4.9m) mean that they are currently the most-sold players ahead of Gameweek 5.

Captaincy

João Pedro (£7.7m) has registered 31 points in his last three Premier League matches. The forward faces a Manchester United team who have conceded five goals in their last two league matches.

Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.5m) owners should feel confident that the centre-forward will return to goalscoring ways in Gameweek 5. Mateta faces a West Ham side who have conceded 11 goals so far this season, the most in the top flight.
