Brentford have teamed up with Fantasy Football Scout to help bring you hints, tips and advice during the 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) season.

Scout will be using their expertise to provide info, advice and Gameweek tips which may prove useful in ensuring you sit on top of your mini-leagues.

Best of the Bees

Whilst Gameweek 35 didn’t bring the result that Brentford were hoping for, there was a stunning late goal from Mathias Jensen’s (£4.9m) - set up by substitute Reiss Nelson (£4.8m).

An entertaining end-to-end first-half included 14 shots, plus several big Igor Thiago (£7.4m) moments that don’t show on statistics. The forward was seemingly put clean through on two occasions, and was inches away from connecting with a Keane Lewis-Potter (£4.8m) cross.

Pulling the strings in midfield, a clever Mikkel Damsgaard (£5.6m) pass set up a huge Michael Kayode opportunity (£4.6m) that was saved.

At the back, Caoimhín Kelleher (£4.8m) made three good stops from Harry Maguire (£4.4m) and Amad Diallo (£6.2m), while extra defensive contribution points were handed out to Jensen, Nathan Collins (£4.9m) and Yehor Yarmoliuk (£5.0m).

The Spotlight

A constant threat, Dango Ouattara (£5.8m) accumulated 12 crosses and four close-range shots at Old Trafford, including hitting the post from a back-post header.

In the last nine, Ouattara has had 15 shots, and, from Gameweek 25 onwards, only two players have created more Opta-defined big chances (eight).

Such data suggests that an FPL haul is coming. Ouattara already has four double-digit scores to his name, and could be worth owning for the final stretch against West Ham United, Manchester City, Crystal Palace and Liverpool.

Best of the Rest

Whether managers were using a Free Hit chip, or making a one-week punt before their Wildcard activation of unlimited transfers, lots of popular Gameweek 34 purchases either got injured - Xavi Simons (£6.6m), Dominic Solanke (£7.3m), Mohamed Salah (£14.0m) and Eberechi Eze (£7.2m) - or didn’t quite produce, like Ollie Watkins (£8.8m).

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest’s emphatic 5-0 victory at Sunderland saw Igor Jesus (£5.9m) and Morgan Gibbs-White (£7.6m) return 14 and 13 points, respectively. Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister’s (£6.2m) also scored 13 points courtesy of his two assists.

At least the anticipated success of Jarrod Bowen (£7.8m) and Arsenal’s defence went to plan. Bowen registered a 10-pointer, whilst David Raya (£6.0m) and Gabriel (£7.2m) returned 10 and eight points respectively.

In Demand

Gibbs-White is on a superb run of seven goals in seven matches. His 43 points in his last four matches is his best spell of form across his eight seasons in Fantasy, making him a popular target for FPL managers. He’s currently the most-bought player, as Forest aim to secure survival in this final stretch.

City assets are popular too, especially Nico O’Reilly (£5.1m) and Rayan Cherki (£6.4m). The French international has been outdoing team-mate Antoine Semenyo (£8.2m) of late.

Captaincy

In Gameweek 35, neither Erling Haaland (£14.5m) nor Bruno Fernandes (£10.4m) has a particularly appealing match versus Merseyside opposition. But their FPL pedigree suggests they can deliver on any occasion.

Still, this may be a good time for some maverick armband choices. Managers trying to chase down a mini-league leader or simply improve their worldwide rank could opt for someone like Danny Welbeck (£6.3m) against Newcastle, or Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.7m) at home to Burnley.
