If you are heading up to Nottingham this weekend, here is everything you need to know to ensure you are ready for your visit. 

Getting to the City Ground

The City Ground sits next to the River Trent and is a thirty-minute walk outside of Nottingham City Centre. Rail strikes will affect travel to the East Midlands on Saturday, so please allow plenty of time to travel (more information below).

Turnstiles will open 90 minutes before kick-off so make sure you are in your seat with plenty of time to spare to give our players a warm welcome!

Travel and transport

National Rail strikes are planned for Saturday 5 November between London and Luton. Passengers should check before travelling as your journey will most likely be affected, please use the National Rail journey planner

Nottingham Railway station is the closest station and is a twenty-minute walk away from the City Ground. The City Ground is serviced by a number of buses that are just a 10-minute drive from the city centre to the ground. Plan your route on Nottingham City Transport’s webpage.

If you are travelling by car, please leave the M1 at junction 24 and follow the signs to Nottingham city centre.

Parking near the City Ground

Controlled Parking Zones will be enforced in the surrounding streets around West Bridgford. Fans should be aware that parking around the City Ground is considerably limited, and priority is given to disabled fans. Any available matchday parking near the ground is charged at £10 per space on a first come, first serve basis. 

Parking will be available for visiting supporters at Meadow Lane (Notts County FC Cattlemarket Pay and Display), Lade Bay Sports Ground and County Hall.

Ticketing information

The Visitors’ Ticket Office is located in the Brian Clough Stand, 20 metres away from the visiting fans turnstiles. If you need to request a duplicate ticket, please contact [email protected] before visiting the Visitors’ Ticket Office. No ticket upgrades will be available on the day of the fixture.

We would also like to remind fans travelling to the City Ground to observe and respect the Family Friendly seating. Anyone who holds a ticket in the Family Friendly seating area is reminded that they should be seated for the duration of the match.

Your matchday at the City Ground

Bees fans are welcome for a drink or bite to eat in Meadow Lane Sports Bar (located in Notts County Meadow Lane Stadium) and Hooters Sports Bar. Both sports bars are a convenient stop-off for fans making their way down to the stadium. 

Ahead of this weekend, the Premier League have warned of the serious dangers of pyrotechnics at football. Please remember that it is illegal for pyrotechnics to be brought into stadia across the United Kingdom. Your safety at home and away matches is our priority.
