The Bees have defeated Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Grimsby Town in this year's competition, while Pep Guardiola's side have beaten Huddersfield Town and Swansea City.

Hákon Valdimarsson, Kristoffer Ajer, Rico Henry, Yehor Yarmoliuk, Mikkel Damsgaard and Kevin Schade come into the team at Etihad Stadium.

Caoimhín Kelleher, Aaron Hickey and Keane Lewis-Potter are named on the bench after starting Saturday's 1-1 draw against Leeds United; Jordan Henderson, Dango Ouattara (AFCON) and Igor Thiago are not in the squad for the midweek clash.
