Brentford head coach Keith Andrews has heaped praise on Yehor Yarmoliuk following the midfielder's impressive start to the 2025/26 season.
The Ukraine international has started all eight of the Bees' Premier League fixtures this term, also featuring from the bench in both Carabao Cup ties so far.
Yarmoliuk's first goal contribution for the club came in September's 3-1 victory against Manchester United, with his marauding run leading to Mathias Jensen's late strike.
He also played a pivotal role in Monday night's 2-0 away win at West Ham United, providing the pass that led to the first goal for Igor Thiago, and marshalling the midfield superbly alongside Jordan Henderson.
"Playing alongside someone so experienced is invaluable," said Andrews on that partnership.
"Yehor's role has grown. He finished really well last season and this is his first real season as a starter.
"He's grasped that opportunity and I think his performances have been really outstanding.
"He's grown in stature on the pitch and the personality he's playing with, and he has a real understanding of the game."
Asked if Yarmoliuk had exceeded expectations since the players returned for pre-season, Andrews added: "I did plan on him being a really big part of the squad. For that to happen, you need to perform.
"It's all well and good me having ideas, but you need to see it and I think we've seen that pretty much straight away in pre-season.
"He's keen to develop his game, he's keen to learn about playing midfield and what it takes, and he's in the right environment to continue that development."
