After scoring his 10th Premier League penalty for Brentford during the Bees' 3-2 win over Fulham, Ivan Toney discussed how he kept his 100 per cent record from 12 yards intact in the west London derby.
Toney put his side 2-1 ahead from the penalty spot, after Christian Norgaard was fouled by Issa Diop inside the penalty area.
And, despite having to wait a while before he eventually put the ball in the back of the net, Toney made no mistake in scoring his 22nd penalty from 22 for Brentford, and 10 from 10 in the Premier League.
Toney explained to Sky Sports: "The wait doesn't matter, I think the longer the better, really. I can compose myself, walk away and think of different things.”
When asked what he thinks about, Ivan added: "Things like being on holiday and chilling!
"I think it was a penalty and, like you said the keeper didn't move, but I've always got a spot where I put the ball, and that's in the back of the net.
“No panicking, just compose yourself and think about what you’re going to do after you’ve scored.”
On the celebration, Toney added: “I'm a fan of Mitro [Aleksander Mitrovic], so I had to do his celebration.
“And, obviously, the goal was for my little newborn son, so no sleep for me for a while.”
On the game itself, which ended with Toney picking up Sky Sports' Man-of-the-Match award, the centre-forward stated that the Bees were unlucky not to be further ahead in the opening 45 minutes and got the rewards for a good second-half performance.
Toney said: "This place is always rocking, whether it's a derby or not. The fans were behind us for that win and that’s for them.”
“I think we could have been in front by two or three, maybe," he added. "But fair play to them, they stuck in and held out.
“Obviously we were a bit unfortunate, we hit the woodwork twice, me and Bryan, then they got a free-kick which dropped perfectly for them and they got themselves back in the game.
“I think we needed to start the second-half how we started the first-half. We tried to get on top, tried to press them high, I think we did that and we got the rewards in the end."
