Brentford drew their second and final game abroad on Saturday afternoon against FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt, remaining undefeated in the two match tour schedule.

The match was played at Erfurt's training base, FC Weißensee.

Over 600 were in attendance, including approximately 40 Brentford fans who had made to the journey.

Brentford started with Jack Bonham in goal, and played a 4-4-2 system, with Will Grigg and Clayton Donaldson up front.

Manny Oyeleke continued at left-back with Harlee Dean skipper for the first half.

Alan McCormack and Jake Reeves were the starting central midfield partnership, flanked either side by Martin Fillo and Adam Forshaw.

Will Grigg came close to opening his account for the Club but his shot was wide of the Erfurt goalkeeper’s left hand post.

Seven minutes later Brentford took a deserved lead, Harlee Dean heading home a move started by Jake Reeves.

In the 38th minute, Clayton Donaldson went close before the home side fought back; Tunjic levelling things up for the hosts with three minutes left of the half via a deflection that gave Bonham no chance.

At the break, ten changes were made, with only Martin Fillo keeping his place as Paul Hayes and Farid El Agui replaced Grigg and Donaldson.

Shaleum Logan played at left back with Stuart Dallas on the other flank, Sam Saunders taking the left wing berth.

There was no further goals in the second half, but Erfurt nearly snatched it with five minutes remaining.

The game was played in a competitive spirit and the hosts were guilty of some robust tackling throughout the match.

Two Erfurt players were shown yellow cards after fouls on Shaleum Logan and Tony Craig.

In the 67th minute Charlie Adams replaced Fillo.

Sam Saunders went close with a free-kick that went over the Erfurt crossbar.

The hosts could have snatched victory with five minutes remaining, as Kevin O’Connor’s misplaced header towards his own goal forced Daniel Muller to scramble back to gather the ball when it seemed it was certain to the cross the line.
