With the 2013/14 season drawing to a close, more details are being released about the upcoming 2014/15 campaign.

It has already been announced that the 2014/15 season will start on Saturday August 9 and clubs in The Championship, like Brentford, will have 11 midweek games scheduled.

A draft schedule for the 2014/15 season includes games on Boxing Day, December 26, and December 28 but no game on New Year’s Day, January 1, as FA Cup Third Round Day is Saturday January 3.

The season is currently planned to finish on Saturday May 2.

The FA have now confirmed dates for the FA Cup and Football League Cup.

The FA Cup Final will take place on Saturday May 30 with the League Cup Final on Sunday March 1.

The FA Cup Third Round will take place on January 3, with rounds following on January 24, February 14, March 7 and April 18/19.
