Brentford Football Club has received a letter from the Football Association asking for an explanation for incidents that occurred during the Sky Bet League One match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
In the official report from the match officials to the after the fixture, on Saturday February 22, it was stated that bottles and coins were thrown on to the pitch.
These came from sections of the ground housing Brentford supporters.
The Club has submitted a reply to this letter.
The Club would like to remind supporters that throwing anything on the field of play is extremely serious.
It is illegal, against Ground Regulations and puts others in danger, both on the pitch and in the stands.
The Club will be checking CCTV and if any individuals are identified as being responsible, action will be taken.
Any supporters that can help the Club in the search for those involved should contact Operations Manager Alan Walsh on [email protected].
The Club would like to reiterate how seriously all breaches of Ground Regulations are treated, particularly those which put fellow supporters and players at risk.
There will be sanctions for anyone caught and identified.
Sanctions can include being banned from Griffin Park.
