Manny leaves Brentford after 18 months in West London. He joined The Bees from West Ham for an undisclosed fee at the start of 2016. The central defender signed an 18-month contract after a successful trial having been at West Ham since he was 12. He then signed a two-year extension this summer.

Manny played 15 games for Brentford B last season, 14 from the start, and was also named as a substitute for three Championship matches in the autumn. In a six-month loan at League Two Cheltenham Town he played 24 matches, 22 of them as the Gloucestershire side battled to avoid relegation from the league. He also scored his first goal in professional football. Manny was part of the First Team squad for pre-season and played in friendlies against Aldershot Town and Lausanne-Sport. He has also played two B Team games this term.

Rob Rowan, Head of Football Operations, said: “I had a chat with Manny in the summer and it was agreed that playing in League One was key for him to progress as a footballer. It was a natural progression after his loan in League Two but unfortunately no loan was possible despite initial interest. Rotherham expressed interest in taking him permanently last week and I’m confident it’s the most appropriate outcome for both parties: Manny will have a chance to fight for his place and impress at First Team level and the club will benefit financially should he be successful at that. On behalf of everyone at the club I would like to wish Manny good luck at Rotherham and for his career as a footballer.”
