Emiliano Marcondes said goodbye to FC Nordsjaelland with two goals in their 3-2 win over Hobro at the Right to Dream Park on Sunday. The 22-year-old scored twice, and set one up, to take his goals tally to 18 for the season. His first was a neat low finish from the edge of the box to level after Quincy Antipas’s opener and his second was a coolly converted spot kick 18 minutes after the break. Victory means that FCN close the gap on top of the table Brondby to four points as the Alka Superliga heads into its two-month winter break. Emiliano heads to West London next month, having been involved in 22 goals in Nordsjaelland’s last 13 games.

In Germany, Konstantin Kerschbaumer played an hour as DSC Arminia Bielefeld were beaten 3-1 in the snow by SV Sandhausen on Sunday. Lucas Höler put the home side ahead with the last kick of the first-half but DSC hit back with a goal from Andreas Voglsammer ten minutes after the break. Richard Sukuta-Pasu scored on the hour to hand SV an advantage they didn’t let slip this time with Julian-Maurice Derstroff adding a third late on. Bielefeld remain sixth after the defeat and travel to Jahn Regensburg next Saturday for their final game before the winter break.

Jack Bonham and Carlisle United returned from South Wales with a point after a six-goal thriller against Newport County on Saturday. All the goals came in a 26 minute spell around the interval: Matt Dolan’s brace of fine free-kicks twice levelling for the home side who had taken a first-half lead thanks to Shaun McCoulsky’s neat finish. The point leaves The Cumbrians in 14th but just four points separate Keith Curle’s side from Coventry City in seventh.

Elsewhere, neither Tom Field or Zain Westbrooke saw any action as both Bradford City and Leyton Orient picked up wins on Saturday. Tom wasn’t in the matchday 18 as The Bantams edged out Rochdale by four goals to three at the Northern Commercials Stadium while Zain was an unused substitute in Orient’ 4-1 home win over Sutton United.
