Manny Oyeleke gave his reaction to Friday’s defeat at home to league leaders Swansea City at Griffin Park.

“I don’t think we deserved to lose 4-2,” said Manny.

“We had many chances, especially the ones we didn’t score, the ones that we did probably weren’t as clear cut, but that’s football, it’s very unforgiving at times.

“Swansea were very good today, played the ball really well, [and] created a lot of chances themselves.

“They were definitely worthy winners.”

The rain produced an encounter to suit both sides style of play.

“Both teams were brave today,” said Manny.

“A pitch like that is a gift and a curse, the player receiving it is a lot harder to control it; you have to focus on the touch and focus on passing it was well.

“It’s the same for both teams, there’s no point complaining, at the end of the day it’s eleven versus eleven.

“The rain helped; it suits our game and I think that’s why it was an exciting and high scoring game.”

Manny described the differences between the Conference and Under-21 football after recently coming back from a loan spell at Aldershot Town.

“Desire, the drive and motivation,” said Manny.

“The fact that the game’s important and it’s a serious game; it means a lot to people.

“That realisation brings a bit more energy from players.”

The 22-year-old gave his thoughts on the Development Squad’s fortunes since he returned from his loan spell.

“From when I went to Aldershot [on loan] and come back, we’ve definitely improved,” said Manny.

“We didn’t have a great start to the season - the only way was up really.”
