Brentford Development Squad defender Kieran Morris has been recalled from his loan at Maidenhead United.

The 19-year-old joined the Vanarama Conference South side in February and the deal was extended until the end of the season last month.

But Brentford have now recalled the teenage defender.

Kieran played four games for Maidenhead during his loan spell but has not played in recent weeks.

It was his second loan of the season as he made seven appearances during a spell at Northern Premier League Stourbridge.

Ose Aibangee, Brentford FC Academy Director, said: “This is a big month for Kieran, and many of our other young players, as he is out of contract in the summer.

“He needs to be playing games and he got some minutes at Maidenhead.

“We can now take a look at how he has progressed.

“There may be an opportunity for him to play for us in some upcoming friendlies or Development Squad matches or perhaps in other behind closed doors matches.

“Other clubs are also asking about him and he may play on trial for them as well.”

Kieran had been on the books of Stourbridge at youth level before joining Brentford.

He signed a new one-year contract in last summer after originally joining The Bees in 2013.

The centre back played for England Schoolboys in the Under-18 Centenary Shield and England Colleges in 2012/13, as well as playing for Brentford at Youth Team and Development Squad level before making the permanent switch to West London.

Kieran played nine times for the Development Squad in 2013/14 and has added another nine Under-21 Professional Development League Two appearances this season, mostly as a substitute.
