Dean Whitestone is one of the longest serving referees in the professional game, having taken charge of his first EFL match back in 2005.

His first Brentford game was a 1-1 draw at home to Bristol City in October 2006 and since then he has gone on to referee a further 11 Bees games, including our EFL Cup Fourth Round tie at Birmingham City in 2010. His most recent match was our 5-1 win at Huddersfield Town on the final day of the 2015/16 season.

Last season Dean took charge of 43 games in the EFL, FA Cup, EFL Trophy, and EFL Cup showing 119 yellow cards and three reds.
