In a poll run by fan engagement experts Snack Media, David took 34% of the vote after helping himself to three clean sheets in five games and making 10 saves to keep The Bees chasing towards the top of the league.

AFC Bournemouth’s David Brooks was second in the vote with 21%. Blackburn Rovers’ Adam Armstrong, Stoke City’s Tyrese Campbell, Zak Vyner from Bristol City and Carel Eiting from Huddersfield Town were also nominated for the award.

November saw Brentford start the month with a 1-1 draw with Swansea City as Ivan Toney notched at The Brentford Community Stadium before the side were held to two consecutive goalless draws with Middlesbrough and then Wycombe Wanderers.

The first win of the month came on the road at Barnsley before the side followed up that win with an impressive display in the West London derby as Thomas Frank’s men won 2-1 with goals from Vitaly Janelt and Toney.

The Bees also started December in fine form as they beat Rotherham United 2-0 on the road.
