This is Darren's fifth season as an EFL referee having spent many years in the professional game as a linesman, including running the line for the 2015 FA Cup Final between Aston Villa and Arsenal.

We are unbeaten in England's four matches in charge, winning two and drawing two. Following our 3-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers, and the 3-3 draw with Sunderland during the 2017/18 season, last term's one outing under England was our 2-0 win at home to Wigan Athletic. This season, he was the man in charge of our 1-1 draw at home to Hull City in August.

So far this campaign, the Barnsley-born official has shown 66 yellow cards and one red in 25 matches.
