The Danish football association issued an update yesterday about their squad for three upcoming matches. It was announced last week that Brentford pair Henrik Dalsgaard and Mathias Jensen were part of a squad to face Sweden in a friendly at the Brøndby Stadium on Wednesday, 11 November, before their crucial final two matches in Nations League A2.

However, it was announced over the weekend that anyone arriving from Denmark in to the UK will have to quarantine. The Danish FA issued a statement yesterday, Sunday 8 November, indicating that professional athletes are not excluded from this quarantine. As such, the Denmark squad has been updated for the match on Wednesday and will not include Henrik and Mathias.

The Danish association is still in conversation over the situation. They have matches against Iceland, on Sunday, 15 November, and Belgium, next Wednesday, still to come in this international break. The full statement can be seen here. Mads Bech Sørensen was also due to link up with the Denmark Under-21 squad and the same restrictions apply.

October's round of international games saw Henrik make his 26th outing for Denmark while Mathias enjoyed a successful bow at senior level. The 24-year-old earned his first cap during The Danes 4-0 win over Faroe Islands and then came off the bench in the closing stages of their win at Wembley. At Under-21 level, Denmark have already qualified for the UEFA European Under-21 Championships with one game to play, against Romania next week.
