Daniel O'Shaughnessy made his international debut for Finland last night as a late substitute in their 3-0 defeat to Sweden in Abu Dhabi. The Swedes took the lead on the stroke of half-time as Emil Salomonsson netted from the spot. Melker Hallberg made it 2-0 seconds after the restart and the win was confirmed on the hour thanks to Emir Kujovic.

21-year-old Daniel, who has made eight appearances for Finland's Under-21s, played the final few minutes but will be hoping for more game-time when Hans Backe's team play Iceland in their second match on Wednesday.
