The 24-year-old goalkeeper has been a willing donator of his time to the Trust’s events in the local community since his move from Southend United in the summer of 2016 and recently took on a role as the Trust’s disability and equalities ambassador

To recognise the work that Daniel, and his teammates do, ever year The Trust chooses a Community Champion, who upholds the values of the Trust, Club and the boroughs that we deliver in. The Champion is someone who understands that his role, is more than that of being a player when turning out for Brentford Football Club.

Speaking last month, after taking on his role as a Trust ambassador, Daniel said: “It is important to create a link between us, as a football club, and the community. You want everybody to get involved in sport and to have a fair, and equal, opportunity. It is great for us to encourage that. The fact that fans get to meet us when we get involved in local community projects is great. It is important that we do our utmost to help.”
