Brentford Football Club has received a donation of £10,000 from GlaxoSmithKline.
The global healthcare company, which has its global headquarters – GSK House – in Brentford, has donated the money to be spent on the Family Area at Griffin Park and the Club’s community outreach programmes.
The money will be spent over the next three years.
Sarah Dyson, UK Corporate Contributions Manager at GSK, said: “GSK is committed to playing its part in helping to improve the health and wellbeing of the communities we work in.
"Brentford FC’s approach to providing a family-inclusive environment is proving to be a successful way to engage all ages of the community, and we are happy to support their work in this area.”
Mike Sullivan, Brentford FC Commercial Manager, said: “We are delighted to have received this donation from GlaxoSmithKline.
“The Club is proud of its reputation as a place for families to watch football and our Family Area is extremely popular."
As well as support for the Family Area at Griffin Park, GSK will also run a series of ticket promotions for staff at its Brentford site to increase staff attendance at home matches.
Club Captain Kevin O'Connor and striker Farid El Alagui attended one promotion at GSK House earlier this year with Buzz Bee and Buzzette.
