Brentford Football Club can confirm that Cliff Crown has stepped down from his role as chair of FC Midtjylland, following the sale of Matthew Benham's stake in the club to Anders Holch Povlsen last year.
He will step aside at the end of the month at the club’s AGM and will focus on his duties at Brentford and Benham’s other business interests.
Reflecting on his time at Midtjylland, Crown said: "It has been a privilege to be part of FC Midtjylland’s journey. I am proud of what we have achieved together over the last 10 years and I'm confident the club is in very good hands moving forward."
He added: "I wish the new ownership, the board and the entire FCM team continued success and will enjoy watching them from afar."
