I would like to offer a sincere apology for a comment made during my welcome speech at a fan event in Philadelphia last night.

It was not intended to be disrespectful to those involved in running the club during an incredibly challenging period. But I now fully appreciate and accept that it may have come across that way and I would like to say I am truly sorry and apologise for causing any offence.

Our fans are the lifeblood of this club and are represented by Bees United on our board. I recognise, and am incredibly grateful for, the depth of their commitment and support through the years, many of them difficult years.

I want to reiterate our appreciation of our fans at home and abroad, many of whom have travelled thousands of miles to support the team out in the States.
