Clayton Donaldson has been named as one of the top ten players in npower League One by the division’s Managers.
At the Football League awards held last Sunday, March 24, the Player of the Year award was handed out for The Championship, League One and League Two.
These lists were compiled from votes submitted by the 24 managers in each division.
Matt Ritchie – who is now at AFC Bournemouth and was previously at Swindon Town – was presented with the npower League One Player of the Year prize last Sunday.
Notts County’s Alan Judge and Leon Clarke, who is now at Coventry City on loan from Charlton Athletic having previously been on loan at Scunthorpe United, were also in the top three.
The Football League has today named the top ten in each division and Clayton has made the list, in tenth place.
The striker is in his second season at Griffin Park and has played 46 games this season, 44 of them from the start.
He has scored 21 goals and is closing in on being Brentford’s top scorer in one season since 1991/92.
Clayton has scored 17 of his goals in npower League One from 37 games, 36 of which he has started.
He has also contributed ten assists in all competitions.
