Huddersfield Town finished the 2014/15 season in a similar position to the previous campaign and Terriers fans will be hoping for better times in 2015/16. Their season started disastrously, with a 4-0 home defeat to eventual Champions AFC Bournemouth.
Manager Mark Robins left 24 hours later with Mark Lillis taking over as caretaker. Chris Powell was appointed The Terriers as new boss on 3 September.
It took the former Charlton Athletic boss until his fourth game to register a win, over Millwall. A seven game unbeaten run over October and November was the highlight of the campaign as The Terriers were inconsistent over the remainder of the season.
They recorded only three wins after 7 February, finishing 16th in the table. Their final match was the second half abandonment at Blackpool, with the Football League allowing the 0-0 draw after 48 minutes to stand.
Nahki Wells finished the season as top goalscorer with 14 league and cup goals, but The Terriers must hope for an increased goal tally from strikers James Vaughan and Frankie Bunn if they are to challenge for the Play-Offs next season.
