David Titov and Ellery Balcombe of Brentford B have experienced success on the international youth stage with Latvia and England respectively.
Titov played in Latvia U19's 1-0 win over Finland U18 that secured them the title of the Baltic Cup. Latvia needed to avoid defeat in the final of three games this tournament and did so with the narrow victory on Saturday afternoon.
It meant Latvia finished top of the group, having beaten Lithuania 3-0 and Estonia 4-0 in the opening two fixtures. It also confirmed the team completed the Cup win without conceding a goal.
Elsewhere, at the Toulon Tournament, England U21s secured their third successive trophy thanks to a 2-1 win over Mexico in the Final. Everton's Kieran Dowell, the star player on loan at Nottingham Forest last season, scored the winning goal after Middlesbrough's Dael Fry netted the opener.
B Team goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe was called over to France earlier this month to train with the keepers in the squad. While not an official squad player, he was there to celebrate with his teammates as the trophy was handed out yesterday evening.
