A first-half strike from Holly Hawkes and two second-half goals from Kasey Clifford and Cheyenne Faulkner ensured the win for the Bees as they left Enfield Playing Field with all three points following a solid performance.
The B Team regained second position in the Greater London Women’s Football League Division One North and bounced back following their narrow defeat to league leaders Leyton Orient.
After dominating the game for the opening half an hour, it was only a matter of time before the Bees took the lead. They eventually got their deserved goal on 32 minutes through Hawkes who has been in fine form this season and has now scored five goals in seven games.
The attacker was played through by Charlotte Halpin who played a lovely through ball for Hawkes to run onto and tuck the ball into the bottom corner from 10 yards out.
Enfield began to grow into the game and put the Bees under pressure towards the end of the half, but the B Team’s firm backline ensured they went into the break a goal up.
The visitors began the second half similar to how they started the first and made it 2-0 after being awarded a penalty on 51 minutes.

Hannah Quinton was dragged down inside the penalty area by an Enfield defender with the referee deeming the challenge to be a foul.
Clifford stepped up and smashed her spot kick into the left side of the goal leaving the Enfield goalkeeper with no chance and continuing her goal-scoring form.
The Bees were back at it just a few minutes later getting their third and final goal of the game through Faulkner with an excellent lob.
After being pinned back to their 18-yard box by Enfield, the B Team managed to steal the ball and hit the hosts on the break. Karen Abou-Abdallah played a brilliant ball over the top of the Enfield defence to Faulkner who showed great composure to lift the ball over the home team’s keeper.
Following the win, Brentford Manager Tommy Ryan-Maynard discussed his team’s performance.
“I was really happy by what I saw, it was a dominant performance from the players, especially in the second half where I felt we really grew into the game.
“Once we started to take care of the ball, we began to show why we are towards the top end of the table.
“If I’m being extra critical, I would have liked to see us take control of the whole game as there were times when Enfield put us under pressure, but getting the three points is the main thing so overall I’m very happy.”
