Yannawit Khantharat has been appointed Brentford Women B head coach ahead of the 2024/25 season.

A former Brentford Under-16 girls coach, Khantharat re-joins the Bees from Paris Saint-Germain’s UK/London Academy where he coached in the youth development phase.

Prior to his time with PSG, Khantharat spent three years at Sukhothai FC, who play in Thai League 1. He was head of coaching, before taking over the head coach role of the first team in a caretaker capacity.

Speaking on the appointment, Brentford Women general manager Amy Crook was excited to see how Khantharat would lead the young B team group.

“We are thrilled to have Yannawit back on board at the club and we look forward to what he and the B team can achieve this upcoming season,” said Crook.

“Our focus in the B team is on the development of our new young players and I know that Yannawit will be able to achieve this goal moving forward.

“Coming off a league-winning season and subsequent promotion, we can’t wait to see what the B team can achieve in the Greater London Premier Division this season.”

Joining Khantharat in the B team is physiotherapist Leah Randall, who recently graduated from the University of Winchester.

Brentford Women B kick-off their league season on Sunday when they welcome South London to Bedfont Sports Club for a 3pm kick-off.

The game is part of a double-header at the west London ground, the B team playing on the grass pitch while the first team face Richmond & Kew on the 3G pitch.
