Brentford Women regrets to inform supporters that it has been withdrawn from the League Cup following the inadvertent fielding of an ineligible player in the semi-final win against Bromley on Sunday 1 March.

The club was notified of the issue by competition officials and, after reviewing the circumstances, has confirmed the error and accepts withdrawal from the competition.

Brentford Women fully recognises the importance of strict compliance with competition regulations and sincerely apologises to the league and its officials, Bromley, and, most importantly, to our players and supporters.

We understand the disappointment this will cause and are grateful for the continued understanding and support of our fans.
