It took Tommy Ryan Maynard’s side just six minutes to get themselves ahead with one of the standout players of last season opening the scoring.
The goal came after Enfield Town failed to clear their lines with Abou-Abdallah picking up the ball on the edge of the box before releasing to Clifford. The midfielder struck the ball low and hard into the bottom corner leaving the Enfield keeper with no chance.
The hosts nearly doubled their lead just a minute later through Foley, the forward, who was making her first competitive start for the side found herself one-on-one with the Enfield keeper after Brentford cleared the opposition’s corner and began a counter attack.

Hawkes was next to score for the side, with Elsbury involved again as the wing-back delivered a brilliant cross to the far post finding Hawkes who calmly nodded home.
Evie Witek was making her debut in goal for the Bees with the keeper’s main call to action coming just before the half hour mark when an Enfield midfielder shot from range, but the effort was easily gathered by the new Brentford shot stopper.

The defender found Claringbold with a neat pass before the striker lobbed the Enfield keeper with an audacious chip from 20 yards.
The Bees made it 5-0 before the half-time whistle was blown, Elsbury again was at the heart of the action, this time she was bundled over on the edge of the Enfield box.
Clifford, who has proved to be a dead ball specialist showed composure to tuck her free-kick into the right corner.
The second half proved to be less action packed as Brentford put on an outstanding first half display, first team players Eshe Davies and Rebekah Edwards were introduced to the game in what was both of their first competitive fixtures since giving birth.
Jasmine King, also a first team player got minutes in the second half after recovering from a long-term injury.
