Now available from shop.brentfordfc.com, your Brentford v Wolverhampton Wanderers match programme includes an in-depth interview with Bryan Mbeumo.

A meeting with legendary striker Samuel Eto’o has recently seen the forward become a Cameroon international - and he’s now hoping to make his World Cup debut in Qatar.

“I’m very proud for me and my family to represent the country,” Mbeumo told club journalist Adam Goodwin.

“My dad was very happy - I also did this for him. I knew how proud he would be and he felt amazing after I made my debut and played those two games [during the last international break].

“It was originally my dream to play in the Premier League, but to play at the World Cup would just be… wow.

“I will be so happy if I get to go. To play against Switzerland, Serbia and Brazil in our group, we couldn’t have asked for better games.

“It will be tough but, with our group of players, we don’t know what will happen.”

To celebrate the return of the castle crest on our 2022/24 second kit, we’ll be speaking with those who wore it best the first time around.

Next up is Allan Cockram, who made 118 appearances and scored 17 goals for the Club before his release at the end of the 1990/91 season.

Allan is the founder and coach of the Brentford Penguins Down’s Syndrome football team, which celebrated its fifth birthday earlier this month.

“One day, I fell into the crowd by an old boy with a flat cap next to the dugouts,” Allan recalled during a conversation with Dan Long.

“I took his cap off, took a throw-in and then started playing the game with the cap on! The referee stopped the game, told me to stop being an idiot and I flicked it back to him.

“At the next home game, he called me over and asked if I wanted a drop of brandy from his hip flask - I said ‘Yeah, go on then!’ So, I'm standing there before kick-off, having a nip of brandy, which became almost a religious thing at every home game.

“Can you imagine that nowadays?! I’d probably be in the Sunday papers every week!”
