Brentford Griffins, the Academy's new Football Conference Youth Alliance teams, were comfortable 4-0 winners against Watford Hertswood last Wednesday.

The Griffins took the lead in the opening minute and never looked back from there against the struggling Watford side.

Brentford's goalscorers were Noah Amissah, who has eight goals in eight games, Ibrahim Lukulay, Abdul Oues and Bilal Aalouche.

The win moves The Griffins up to sixth in the table with 12 points from their eight games played.

The Griffins are managed by Academy Coach Dan Wright who was understandably pleased with the win.

"A good performance and a great result from the team today," said Dan.

"We went 1-0 up in the first minute which really set the tone of the game, I thought we were in control right from the start.

"The coaches and players have been working really hard to develop a possession based style of play and I thought they dominated the ball and the created chances which was really great to see.

"Throughout the season the boys have been getting better and better as they implement what has been asked of them and the last 3 games have been good to watch.

"Today we had 4 different scorers and a clean sheet, so a good day at the office!"

The Brentford FC Football Conference Youth Alliance team is part of a partnership between Brentford's Academy and West Thames College.

Matches are played on a Wednesday afternoon with home games played at Osterley Sports Club, Tentelow Lane, Osterley.

Next up for the Brentford Griffins is a home match against Boreham Wood Whites this Wednesday while the Brentford Bees travel to the Eastleigh Blues.
