Brentford B will face Middlesbrough Under-21s in the Round of 16 stage of the Premier League Cup with the match to be played on Monday 30 January in a 1pm kick-off at the Laithwaite Community Stadium.
The young Bees had a fantastic group stage campaign as they finished top of their group with 15 points having won five of their six matches. They sealed their place in the knockout stages following a 2-0 win over Peterborough United Under-21s before Christmas and confirmed top spot with a 3-2 win over Aston Villa Under-21s on 13 January.
They will now turn their attentions to a test against Middlesbrough who finished second in their group after collecting nine points from their six games. The Premier League 2 side beat Watford Under-21s 4-0 back in November in the competition but were beaten in the reverse fixture by the Hornets. In early January they beat West Bromwich Albion Under-21s 1-0 away from home to help confirm their space in the knockout stages with a Bryant Bilongo goal in the 89th minute.
Tickets for the match on Monday 30 January will be £5 for adults and £1 for Under-12s and will be available on the gate. Tickets can also be purchased online.
More details regarding match coverage will be announced in due course.
