Brentford B will compete for the Premier League Cup trophy against Blackburn Rovers Under-21s at the Gtech Commmunity Stadium on Tuesday 9 May in a 7.45pm kick-off.

The young Bees reached the final of the Premier League Cup with a 2-1 win away from home against Fulham Under-21s on 27 April and, following a home draw, they will now compete for the trophy in west London.

General admission tickets for the fixture are priced at £1 for juniors and £3 for adults. Premium tickets, which include a beer, wine or soft drink and pie at half-time, are priced at £20. You can purchase your Premier League Cup ticket now.

That will be the first time the B team will play at the Gtech Community Stadium before they return to the same venue on 19 May, when they host Manchester City’s Elite Development Squad in the first Robert Rowan Invitational.

That fixture will commemorate the legacy of Rob who sadly died aged 28 due to an undiagnosed heart condition. All proceeds from this game will go towards the Heart of West London fundraising. Tickets for the Robert Rowan Invitational are on sale now.

Up first, though, is a match against a Blackburn side who Neil MacFarlane’s team have faced twice this season already, having been placed in Group D together earlier in the campaign.

Brentford beat Rovers 3-2 in their first meeting in Lancashire, before Mike Sheron's side claimed a 2-1 win when the sides met in November 2022 at the Laithwaite Community Stadium. Rovers progressed to the final after finishing second in the group, before beating Huddersfield Town, Southampton and Nottingham Forest in the knockout rounds.

Speaking ahead of the match with Rovers, Brentford B head coach Neil MacFarlane said: “Having played against Blackburn twice before, we are well aware that they are a very talented young team and we will have to be at our best if we wish to win the trophy.

“Our players have earned the right to play in this final, in a fantastic setting, and I know that they will give everything they can to ensure they have a successful evening.

"This will be the first time our B team will play at this wonderful stadium and everyone within the B team set-up is excited ahead of Tuesday’s final.”

With the B team in action at the Gtech twice this month, it is the perfect opportunity to get down to the stadium for two fixtures, watch a final and support Heart of West London. Tickets are £3/£1 for each game and can be purchased at tickets.brentfordfc.com.
