Brentford B secured a hard-fought victory against the young Gers at the Rangers Training ground as two late goals ensured the friendly victory.

Goals from Ashley Hay and Ethan Brierley secured the win for the young Bees, Neil MacFarlane's side making it two wins on the bounce following the 4-1 win against Hitchin Town last time out.

The Bees started the game comfortably, controlling the tempo of the game.

Mukhammadali Urinboev had the first shot of the game, cutting inside on to his left foot and striking just outside the box but his effort went wide.

Brentford B were asserting their dominance in the game and should have gone ahead but for the outstretched leg of Kieran Wright who denied Brierley’s fierce shot on goal.

The home side were still in the contest and after a good team move, James Graham jinked his way into the box and only just missed the post.

Brierley again was in the thick of it, beating the keeper but smashing the crossbar with his strike.

Hákon Valdimarsson who made his Brentford B debut, made a great save to deny Paul Nsio, pushing the ball away from the danger zone.

It was a quieter second half as both sides struggled to create.

The young Bees took the lead deep into the second half as Wright was caught on the ball and substitute Hay dispossessed the goalkeeper and found the back of the net.

The goal saw more space appear on the pitch and substitute Tony Yogane drove into the box with purpose and just as he was about to shoot, he was fouled.

Brierley made it three goals from three games as he converted from the penalty spot to guarantee the victory.

It is two wins on the bounce for the young Bees as they put in a professional performance against a tough opponent.
