Brentford B return to action on Tuesday afternoon when they face Huddersfield Town B in a behind closed doors fixture at the Robert Rowan Performance Centre. Kick-off is 1pm.

The young Bees will look to add further minutes ahead of their Premier League Cup semi-final match with Fulham on 27 April.

Setting the scene

With around six weeks left of the season for the B team, they will go into this match looking to build some momentum with their huge game in the Premier League Cup on Thursday next week as they aim to make the final. The match with Huddersfield offers the chance for more minutes to be gained for the squad and they’ll come up against another tough opponent in Huddersfield. Recent results for the young Bees prior to their 2-2 draw with Luton Town Under-21s saw them faces Hayes & Yeading in the Middlesex Senior Cup after they faced the Ukraine national team.

Last time out

That 2-2 draw with Luton saw the B team impress with some first team involvement as they came up against a Town side who also had some first team players in their line-up. Ryan Trevitt kept up his stunning season as he grabbed two first half goals at Kenilworth Road before the home side hit back to go level.

Last time we met

It hasn’t been too long since the sides last met as they faced each other back in January at St George’s Park. Neil MacFarlane’s side had a 2-1 lead going into the final stages of the match but for two very late strikes from Kyle Hudlin who gave them the victory.
