Brentford B will open their Middlesex Senior Cup campaign away from home on Tuesday night as they travel to face Northwood (7:45pm kick-off).
The clash will be the young Bees’ first since returning from Portugal, where they trained and played two games, winning both.
The Middlesex Senior Cup is contested by clubs in the county, with Rayners Lane the current holders of the trophy. They defeated Hayes and Yeading 3-2 in the final, the latter having beaten Brentford B in the second round of last season's competition.
Last time out
It was a positive day at the office for the young Bees last time out in the Under-21s Professional Development League, beating league leaders Charlton Athletic 6-1.
Ashley Hay starred with a hat-trick, while Ben Krauhaus scored his first goals in Brentford colours.
This time last season in the Middlesex Senior Cup, Brentford fell to Hayes and Yeading 2-0 away from home.
Despite playing a strong first half, the group couldn’t find the back of the net and were bundled out of the competition.
Ollie Shield made his Brentford B debut in that game, the then Under-18s player now graduated through to the B-team set-up.
